Our Story
Like many of the best stories, ours didn’t quite happen when or where we expected it to.
We often laugh that although we both studied in Melbourne, our paths must have crossed countless times without us ever knowing. Somehow, it took both of us moving to the Gold Coast for us to finally meet in 2020, right in the middle of a global pandemic. The timing may have been unexpected, but it turned out to be pretty perfect.
Since then, we’ve made our way back to Melbourne and built a life here that we love. We’re happiest travelling and discovering new places, spending time with our friends and families, trying new restaurants and always having our next adventure somewhere in the works. Family is a huge part of our lives, and one of our favourite roles is being Aunty Hannah and Uncle Nihal to our nieces and nephews.
Six years after we first met, Nihal brought things full circle, proposing on Mermaid Beach, the very same beach where our story began. It was the perfect full-circle moment and proof that some places really do hold a little magic.
Now we can’t wait for the next chapter and to celebrate it in the way that feels most like us: surrounded by our favourite people, plenty of good food, lots of laughter and a very full dance floor.
The Venue

A little slice of the Mediterranean in Mount Eliza, on the Mornington Peninsula.
Set amongst beautiful gardens with sweeping coastal views, Sunnyside Estate will be the setting for our wedding celebration.
From the ceremony in the gardens to dinner in the Grand Hall, we couldn’t imagine a more beautiful place to celebrate with all of you.

The Day
The day will go a little something like this…
4.45pm
Arrivals
Make your way to Sunnyside, take in the views and settle in before the ceremony begins.
5.30pm
We do
The ceremony begins as Hannah & Nihal get married surrounded by their favourite people.
6.00pm
Aperitivo
Join us in the Piazza for drinks and canapés after the ceremony. Mingle, enjoy the surroundings and celebrate while the newlyweds disappear briefly for photographs.

7.00pm
Reception begins
Take your seat in the Grand Hall as the newlyweds make their entrance. Glasses are raised, dinner is served and the celebrations continue.
Dinner served from approximately 7.30pm.
8.45pm

Stories, speeches and a toast or two.
9.15pm
Meet us on the dance floor
The formalities are over. Let’s dance.

Dress Code
COCKTAIL ATTIRE
Our celebration brings together both of our cultures, and we’d love the dress code to reflect that. Cocktail attire and traditional Indian wear are both warmly welcomed. Choose whatever makes you feel comfortable, confident and ready to celebrate.

Sunnyside is around an hour’s drive from Melbourne and approximately a 10-minute drive from both Mount Eliza and Mornington. Taxis, Uber and other rideshare services are available in the area.

Accommodation
The Mornington Peninsula is at its best in February. Airbnbs and a range of accommodation options are available in and around Mount Eliza, Mornington, Mount Martha, Red Hill and across the broader Peninsula, making it easy to stay nearby and enjoy the weekend.
A little note on little ones
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We hope you can enjoy the evening with us and let your hair down.
A note on plus ones
To keep our celebration within the venue’s capacity, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation. We hope you understand, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
A note on the setting
The ceremony and post-ceremony drinks and canapés will be held outdoors, with the reception taking place indoors.
